My nephew is finally home! They got to take him home yesterday. I am so relieved that everything is fine now. Thanks to any who prayed, so very much. My sister said he is just like any normal baby now. No breathing problems, he is eating fine, actually from the sounds of it, he is eating alot. He was only six pounds fourteen ounces when he was born and I know all babies lose a little weight after they are born, but he only lost nine ounces (I think). I am just so happy that he is where he needs to be now.

I got an update on my nephew today:

I got an update on my nephew today:

He is doing well. The tubes in his chest are not draining at all. He is basically on the watch and wait list. They have to observe him for 4 days after the chest tubes are in to make sure everything heals up. On Wednesday, they should be able to remove the tubes. They will keep him for observation for at least 24 hours after that. Then, they will do another x-ray to make sure everything looks good, and he should be able to go home after that. So hopefully Thursday or Friday he should be coming home.

Please continue to pray for him. I have been so worried, and I have had to keep "giving the situation to God". I know, I don't like the clichés either, because that is all it seems they sound like; a cliché. I know it is a sin to worry, because that is just a lack of trust in God's plan. So, I really have been fighting with myself to make myself give it to God. I feel like I am in a holding pattern, like I can't breathe all the way until I know that he is fine and in my sister's arms again. It is maddening to keep thinking about it, but I don't want to have a lackadaisical attitude toward it by not thinking about it at all. That is why I have had to keep fighting with myself about letting God do His job and not trying to do it myself. Because no matter how hard I try to be supreme ruler of the galaxy, I just really can't do it.

My newest nephew arrived in the world on Friday.

My newest nephew arrived in the world on Friday. He is twenty inches long and weighs six pounds and fourteen ounces. He is also a very cute baby. There are some minor complications though. This is an excerp of an email from my sister about him:

He was put into the NICU after about 2 hours, because his breathing was very rapid (90 instead of 40) and shallow. They ran some tests and found he had some fluid in his lungs. It may have been because his cord was around his neck when he was born, so he didn't get a good expelling when he was first born, but they're not sure. He was OK, but not great, so they wanted to keep him for observation. This afternoon, he started fussing, so they ran some tests, and discovered that he had some air in his chest, and one of his lungs had collapsed. They put a chest tube (a tiny little tube under is arm) in and drew out the air, reinflating his lung, but the other one collapsed too, so they did the same on that side. He is stable and back to OK, but they wanted to take him down to T.C.H. at the main Hospital, downtown. His lungs are fine, he's only on 35% oxygen right now and going down, and there is only a little fluid left (he coughed up some of it). He is ok, and stable, but they want him under constant supervision, and where they can get test results faster.

I would appreciate any prayers for my new little nephew.
My sister did so good during the labor. She didn't make any of the horrible shrieks that I did when was in labor. But, when she was ready, boy she was ready. She had only been at the hospital for a few hours before out he popped. It really only took one and a half pushes to get him out. She did so good. I am so proud of the kind of mom she is. It relly gives me something to work for. Not that I am saying I want three kids, I just want to be that good of a mom to my one and only Squishy.

Well, I came in here ready to write amazing things to awe my friends and my brain has totally deflated. I had a spam comment. Because of this I am no longer allowing anonymous comments. It stinks that that happened but I suppose everyone gets hit with crap like that eventually.

Nasties and SoBe

I keep "winning" Two Free Weeks at Bally Total Fitness from my SoBe lids. I have now collected three. Do you think this is a sign? Another interesting point to ponder; the closest Bally Total Fitness is in GA. I think that is a sign telling me that they didn't plan this whole prize thing very wisely. Not to mention the fact that everyone has a one in thirty-seven chance to win Two Free Weeks at Bally Total Fitness. I think it would be much more worth while for them to offer a one in thirty-seven chance of winning some "health bars" or "vitamins" or maybe even something like "another free SoBe drink". I just turned around to look at RC and what he is doing on his computer and he quickly closed a window and deleted something. I think he was looking at nasties.

I honestly don't know what to do. It requires me to become completely furious before he does anything.

I am on my computer for the first time in about two months. Yay! SO happy!

Oh, who am I kidding? It is really just the insomnia talking. i have to go wash my hands now.
